Adult Fiction And Fantasy

Amanda Silver, an American banker, has allowed deception to jeopardize her marriage. Recently separated and on the verge of divorce, she experiences a visit from a mysterious angelic-like lady. Anxious to escape the heartbreak of her failing marriage, she decides to accept a temporary assignment to help divert an impending worldwide disaster. In the meantime, Anne Singer, a famous Canadian songbird, and Sergeant Derek Dudley, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigator for Ottawa's branch of Interpol, experience similar visits. When the three unlikely heroes team up, they discover their magic and faerie friends may not be enough to stop the evil magician, Malacant, from destroying the human race and taking over the faerie realm. A magical battle between truth and deception ensues when Derek finds a silver key that unlocks a door to Spires Castle where Malacant plans to orchestrate his terrorist attacks and nuclear destruction upon mankind unless he is stopped.

Spires Castle is book one of the Spires Castle Trilogy. The saga is not complete without reading book two, The Stones And The Sword, and book three, The Magic Song.

Now that Derek Dudley has fully committed to Lady Snowbird's cause and is ready to accept the magic, Amanda Silver's next task is to find the faeries who have possession of the other Fey stone. But before she can do that, she needs to find a lawyer to help get her friend and traveling companion, Fenwick (Fen) Jones, out of jail, who was mistakenly arrested by the FBI on suspicion of murder. As providence would have it, she ends up flying to New York City to solicit the help of Alex Anderson, a lawyer who has a strange connection with the faeries from a past encounter. After the FBI drops the bogus charges and releases Fen, he and Amanda head for Nova Scotia with their little traveling companion, Sidhe (Sid) Fey of the Fey Faeries, to get the Fey stone from the Koblernigh Faeries. But after discovering a wicked little faerie by the name of Elwin Tadvar, who is bent on stealing the Fey stones, had kidnapped and impersonated Sid, they return to New York City and meet up with Anne Singer. The tragic terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center occur shortly after Anne and Amanda step into an elevator in the north tower. They subsequently become trapped in a towering inferno. Unless they can find a way to escape from this urban death trap, Amanda and her companions will be unable to complete their next task, to reunite the magic stones with the sword of truth and awaken the mysterious knight, Sir Vincent.

The Stones And The Sword is book two of the Spires Castle Trilogy. The saga is not complete without reading book one, Spires Castle, and book three, The Magic Song.

Anne Singer has returned home after her recent visit to New York City. With the disastrous collapse of the World Trade Center still fresh in her mind but behind her now, she attempts to prepare for her upcoming concert tour. As they say in show business, the show must go on, and she's determined to keep her commitments to her fans. But she soon discovers her survival is threatened again when the enemy strikes close to home. This time, Malacant sends his fiery-eyed black feathered servant to brutally attack the little white snowbird, the messenger of the magic song, and steal Anne's singing voice, which the enemy imprisons in Spires Castle. Although the hope of ever singing the magic song to her Mountie friend is impossible without her voice, Lady Snowbird assures her she has a plan to rescue both. The Lady sends Amanda and Derek back to Spires Castle to rescue Anne's voice and her stolen songs. With the aid of Amanda's magic and the help of Sahpo Crowfoot, their Blackfoot Indian friend, and Sir Vincent, the rightful lord of Spires Castle, they succeed in this task but not without a battle that almost costs them their lives. Although Amanda's magic saves them from a sinister creature that attacks her under the cover of darkness, she suffers injuries and wakes up in a hospital bed unable to remember her recent past or who she is.

The Magic Song is book three of the Spires Castle Trilogy. The saga is not complete without reading book one, Spires Castle, and book two, The Stones And The Sword.

It's been more than 20 years since Amanda Silver, Derek Dudley, and Anne Singer defeated the evil magician, Malacant, and restored Spires Castle to its rightful residents, the Fair Folk of the faerie realm. However, Malacant is back, and he has found a new way to bring chaos upon the world. When he disappeared over 20 years ago, he was thought to be destroyed with the Doomsday Clock. But in reality, he escaped into time itself and has been looking for an opportunity ever since to continue his plans to create a new world order and rule over mankind. In The Black Ship Of Time, Amanda, Derek, and Anne come together again in a new adventure to deal with Malacant's threat in the next generation. A visit from Lady Snowbird has revealed Malacant became the captain of the black ship of time. By a fluke occurrence, a rip in the fabric of time has allowed him to sail through a crack in time's door, and he is now attempting to disrupt the course of history to his own advantage. This fluke in time was accidentally caused by a time device created by a physicist by the name of Dr. Jordan Ambrose, and it occurred aboard a cruise ship near Bermuda, the same ship that Amanda's grown-up daughter, Annie, was on. In the course of events, Annie becomes trapped in another time period while a woman from that time period is trapped in hers. Annie's journey through time becomes partly responsible for the strange phenomena that occurs in the present time period. She is now living in 1875, and unless she is rescued soon, history is threatened to be changed forever, or worse, to cease to exist. Once Annie is restored to the present time period, she must sing the time traveler's song to return the black ship to its timeless voyage and mend the rip in the fabric of time. But Malacant is up to his old magic tricks and is determined not to be defeated this time. So, with the help of his black bird, he steals Annie's voice in an attempt to prevent her from singing the song just as he did many years ago when he stole Anne Singer's voice. Amanda, Derek, and Anne are now faced with a new challenge and soon realize it will take more than their combined magic to set things right. They team up with Dr. Ambrose who discovers science and magic have more in common than he thinks and eventually realizes if time travel is possible, then magic and mermaids are not so far-fetched.

Once upon a time a handsome young swordsmith fell in love with a beautiful faerie princess. The couple wanted to wed, but the faerie king forbad it because the swordsmith wasn't a prince. But the king and queen liked the swordsmith very much because he was an excellent swordsmith and made many beautiful and well-crafted swords and armor for the royal family and the king's army. The king knew the swordsmith would make a fine son-in-law, for he was very kind and courageous, but rules were rules, and so the swordsmith and the princess had to remain just friends. But when an evil magician threatens to take over the Faery Kingdom, a strange turn of events convinces the king to take a second look at the swordsmith's worth.
